Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By browsing this site you agree to nothing more than these Terms governing that browsing. But the moment you complete a purchase through Stripe Checkout, submit a request on the volunteer or cohort application forms, or post to the community wall, you are agreeing to these Terms of Service in full, along with the Privacy Policy and, where a purchase is involved, the Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, please don’t complete a purchase or post to the wall.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, to purchase an offering or post on the community wall. By making a purchase you represent that you are old enough to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction, or that a parent or guardian is doing so on your behalf.

2. What Dendora Collective is — and isn’t

Dendora Collective offers contemplative reflection drawn from the I Ching and the Gene Keys: a mirror for a question you already carry, meant to support your own reflection and contemplation. A reading, cast, or session is a conversation in slow time, not a diagnosis and not an instruction.

To be explicit about the boundaries, because they matter:

• Not therapy or counseling. Nothing offered here substitutes for psychotherapy, trauma work, crisis support, or clinical mental-health treatment.
• Not medical advice. Nothing said in a reading or cast is a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a substitute for consulting a physician.
• Not financial advice. Nothing offered here is investment guidance, tax advice, or business consulting.
• Not legal advice. If a legal question is present, please bring it to a lawyer.
• Not fortune-telling, and not a guarantee of any outcome. We do not predict specific future events, and we make no representation that any reading will produce a particular result, decision, or change in your life.

3. How purchasing works

Dendora Collective does not require you to create an account. Every purchase runs through Stripe Checkout using an email address you provide at the time of purchase; that email receives your receipt and, for offerings that require scheduling or delivery, your confirmation and next steps. We keep an internal record of your order tied to that email so we can deliver what you purchased and respond if something goes wrong, but there is no customer-account login on this site outside of the Guild’s self-service Billing Portal described below.

If you lose a confirmation email or need a copy of a receipt, write to guide@dendoracollective.com with the email address and approximate date you used at checkout.

4. The nine offerings, and the pay-it-forward add-on

Dendora Collective sells nine priced offerings. Each is a commercial exchange — a specific reading, session, object, seat, or membership for a specific price — and none of them is a charitable gift, regardless of how the checkout or confirmation copy is worded elsewhere on the site. Purchasing one of these offerings means the following:

• Voice-Note Cast (written)$20 offering
  A single personalized written reflection on the question you submit, composed by the guide and delivered by email, typically within two to three business days. Purchasing this offering is a request for that one written reflection; it does not include a live conversation.
• Written Interpretation$30 offering
  A longer written interpretation unpacking a reading you have already drawn, in more depth than the free oracle or the Voice-Note Cast provides. Delivered by email, typically within two to three business days.
• 15-Minute Session$50 offering
  One live, one-to-one video session with the guide, fifteen minutes long, scheduled through the booking page after checkout. Purchasing this offering reserves one session time; see the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the reschedule window.
• Full Gene Keys Session$150 offering
  One live, one-to-one video session with the guide, roughly seventy-five minutes long, for a fuller reading across your Gene Keys profile. Scheduled the same way as the fifteen-minute session.
• Coin & Booklet Bundle$189 offering
  A physical set — hand-cast coins for I Ching casting and a printed, bound booklet — plus domestic shipping and one included opening session with the guide. This offering combines physical goods and a service; the physical-goods portion carries the standard return window described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• 22-Day Cohort$555 offering
  One seat in a twenty-two-day guided group container: a cohort of practitioners moving through the Gene Keys together with live calls and daily materials, beginning on the cohort’s published start date. Purchasing this offering reserves a seat in a specific cohort.
• Cohort Trio$1,200 offering
  Three seats in the same twenty-two-day cohort container, for you and two other people, at a saving over three individual seats. Purchasing this offering reserves all three seats together; the seats may be assigned to three different people before the cohort begins.
• The Guild$2,222 / year offering
  An annual membership billed through Stripe as a recurring subscription that renews automatically once a year on the anniversary of your first payment, unless you cancel first. Purchasing this offering begins an ongoing subscription, not a one-time transaction. Every Guild email includes a link to a self-service Stripe Billing Portal where you can cancel future renewals at any time; see the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the trial window and current-year refund position.
• Gift a ReadingVariable-amount offering
  A redeemable gift code for one of the offerings above, or for a chosen amount, purchased by one person for another to redeem. Purchasing a gift is treated as purchasing the underlying offering on the recipient’s behalf, with delivery deferred until the code is redeemed.

Each offering’s exact format and timing are also described on its own page. If anything there conflicts with the summary above, the more specific product description controls, except as to price and payment terms, which are fixed at checkout.

The $22 pay-it-forward scholarship add-on

Separately from the nine offerings above, checkout also offers a $22 pay-it-forward add-on that funds a scholarship reading for someone who could not otherwise contribute. This add-on is different in kind from everything else on this page: you receive no good or service in exchange for it, it is pooled with the collective’s scholarship fund, and it is the one item on this site that is properly described as a charitable contribution.

5. Payment, pricing, and taxes

All payments are processed by Stripe. Dendora Collective never sees or stores your full card number; Stripe handles that data under its own terms and its own PCI-compliant infrastructure. Prices on this site are listed in U.S. dollars. Where applicable sales tax is due on a physical good (the Coin & Booklet Bundle), it is calculated and collected at checkout. If you are paying from outside the United States, your card issuer may apply a currency-conversion fee or foreign-transaction fee; that is between you and your bank, not something Dendora Collective controls or collects.

6. Refunds and cancellations

Refund and cancellation rules differ by offering — a written reflection that has already been delivered is treated differently from a live session you can reschedule, which is treated differently from an annual membership. The complete, per-offering rules live in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is part of these Terms by reference. Where the two documents ever appear to conflict, the Refund & Cancellation Policy controls on refund and cancellation questions specifically.

7. The community wall

The community wall is a shared, moderated space for questions and reflection. By posting there, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or demean another person, or post hate speech directed at a person or group;
• Post spam, advertising, or solicitations unrelated to contemplative practice;
• Impersonate the guide, a moderator, or any other person;
• Give yourself out as a licensed therapist, physician, lawyer, or financial professional, or offer advice in those capacities;
• Post content that is unlawful, that infringes another person’s rights, or that discloses another person’s private information without consent; or
• Attempt to circumvent moderation, including by evading a removal or a suspension.

A moderator reviews posts before a guide reply is added. We may remove any post, and suspend or terminate any person’s access to the wall, at our discretion, with or without notice, for a violation of this section or for any reason described in Section 16 below. Posts expressing an intent to harm oneself or others are handled under our internal safety process rather than left to stand as ordinary content, and may be removed and answered privately with resources instead of publicly.

8. User content and license

You retain ownership of anything you write and post to the community wall or submit through a form on this site (a volunteer note, a cohort application, a wall post). By submitting it, you grant Dendora Collective a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, reproduce, and moderate that content for the purpose of operating the site and the wall, including showing your post to other visitors if you post publicly. You represent that you have the right to post what you submit and that doing so does not violate another person’s rights.

We are not obligated to monitor content before it is posted, but we may review, edit for length, remove, or decline to publish any submission at our discretion.

9. Intellectual property

The site itself — its design, text, original written reflections, and the way the I Ching and Gene Keys material is arranged and presented here — is the property of Dendora Collective and its guide, and is protected by copyright and other applicable law. You may read, print, and share a link to any page for personal, non-commercial use; you may not copy, redistribute, or resell site content, or resell a reading or written reflection you purchased, without our prior written permission.

The I Ching itself is centuries-old source material in the public domain as commonly translated, and Dendora Collective’s commentary and casting method are original work built on that public tradition. The Gene Keys is a proprietary contemplative system created by, and copyrighted to, its original author. Dendora Collective’s Gene Keys-inspired reflections, written interpretations, and session content are independently authored interpretive works inspired by that tradition; they are original writing, not reproductions of, excerpts from, or a substitute for the proprietary Gene Keys book or materials, and Dendora Collective is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a licensee of the Gene Keys system or its publisher.

10. Third-party services and links

This site relies on third-party services to operate: Stripe for payment processing, Google Calendar and Google Meet for scheduling and live video sessions, and standard infrastructure providers for hosting. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, which we encourage you to review. The site also links out to external resources, including crisis and referral resources (for example, 988 and findahelpline.com) mentioned on the Ethics & Boundaries page. We do not control those third-party sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.

11. Disclaimers

The site and every offering on it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any reading, cast, session, or written reflection will meet your expectations or produce any particular insight, outcome, or result. Nothing on this site or delivered through an offering is a substitute for professional medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, as described in Section 2 above.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dendora Collective, its guide, board members, officers, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of the site or any offering, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or any offering will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the specific offering that gave rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence, where applicable law does not permit such a limitation.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dendora Collective, its guide, board members, officers, and volunteers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the site or an offering, or your violation of any right of another person, including anything you post to the community wall.

14. Dispute resolution

Informal resolution first

Before filing any claim against Dendora Collective, you agree to first contact us at guide@dendoracollective.com and describe the dispute in enough detail for us to understand and respond to it. Both sides agree to negotiate in good faith for at least thirty days from that notice before either party begins a formal proceeding of any kind, including arbitration or a small-claims action.

Binding arbitration

If a dispute is not resolved informally, you and Dendora Collective agree that it will be resolved by binding, individual arbitration rather than in court, except as set out in the small-claims carve-out and class-action waiver below. Arbitration will be administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its rules for consumer disputes, and will take place in, or by videoconference administered from, [ arbitration venue to be confirmed ], or another location the parties agree to in writing. Each party is responsible for its own attorneys’ fees and costs, except as the arbitration provider’s rules or applicable law otherwise require or permit the arbitrator to award. This agreement to arbitrate is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.

Small-claims carve-out

Notwithstanding the agreement to arbitrate, either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court in a jurisdiction that has authority over it, if the claim qualifies for that court.

Class-action waiver

You and Dendora Collective agree that any dispute will be resolved only on an individual basis, and that neither party will bring or participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action or arbitration. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim or a particular form of relief, that claim or that form of relief (and only that claim or form of relief) will be decided by a court instead, and the remainder of this arbitration agreement will still apply to everything else.

Right to opt out

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to guide@dendoracollective.com within thirty days of the date you first accepted these Terms (for example, the date of your first purchase), stating clearly that you decline to be bound by the arbitration and class-action-waiver provisions in this section. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

15. Governing law

Except as the Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration agreement above, these Terms are governed by, and will be construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of [ governing state to be confirmed ], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

16. Termination and right to refuse service

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate your access to checkout, the community wall, or the site as a whole, at our discretion and with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in abusive conduct toward the guide or another community member, attempted fraud, or filed a bad-faith chargeback after receiving what you purchased. Terminating access does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund; refund eligibility is governed separately by the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and governing law — will survive.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page with a new "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site or make a purchase after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If a change materially affects active Guild members — for example, a change to the renewal, cancellation, or arbitration terms — we will also email affected members before the change applies to their next renewal.

18. General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be interpreted to reflect its original intent as closely as possible under applicable law. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund & Cancellation Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Dendora Collective regarding the site and its offerings, and supersede any prior agreement on that subject. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our written consent; we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of substantially all of our assets. We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Section headings in these Terms are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
